my longest relationship ever.

I don't have much to say except that I love this girl. Lauren Kay Ault. She has been my best friend since Kindergarten. So for the past 15 years she has been closer than family. I've never had anyone else as dependable as her.
Her wedding was beautiful. She looked completely stunning. I was and am so happy for her. I thank God everyday for having such a great friend like Lauren. and this pic is my favorite because you can see how much we love each other! :-)

You should tell your bff how much you love them today!

May 2010, I love you.

The last few weeks have been fantastic! I knew May would bring me some happiness and relaxation. It was totally worth fighting through that last semester.

Well yesterday was total bliss. Chinese food for lunch and top model marathon all day. Then we finished the underworld trilogy last night with some homemade cheese dip :-). It was fantastic!

I wasn't a complete bum all day long. I did finish a hat. Well almost finished, I want to add some straps.

I also did a headband and started another hat that's yellow and green. :-). I'm gonna make a few flowers to turn into hair clips too! I'm am super psyched about Hello Ladies participation at the Little Rock River Market. woo hoo! I'm trying to boost my inventory for fall too so I won't be crocheting my fingers to the bone and neglecting my homework. Hence the hats...

OMG and when we went for chinese we saw this...
I would like to direct your attention to the round object clipped to his pocket. I know what this is because of my beautiful across the hall neighbor, Alex. He also had one. You see, Alex loves Pokemon and he acquired a pokewalker that you clip on your pants and it counts your steps so you can get more points and get new pokemon related goodies. So now that you know...please enjoy the grown man complete with his professional attire, wearing his pokewalker. haha and yes I had to be a total creeper to take this pic with my phone.

p.s. this is the only pic josh and i took on our stroll along the Big Dam Bridge this weekend. lol

I hope y'all enjoy the small funny things in life today :-).

Happy Wednesday!

it doesn't get better than this...

I have been having the most awesome weekend and it's carried over into the week :-). Josh and I rode the motorcycle friday night and took a stroll on the big dam bridge it was sooo fun! Then we had crawfish that were so amazing I could have eaten 50 pounds. I was in heaven. Then we had our first CenterPoint Church meeting in Conway. EXCITING! I can't wait to get things going up here. This church is my family. I can't even describe it to you. I'm 21 and I've been going there for 21 years, so I speak with a little bias but honestly some of the best people in my life are there. I'm glad CPC is moving to Conway with me lol

Steph is spending a couple days in conway with me! We've been watching vampire movies and bravo like 24/7. I know it's a great combo...lol I've been crafty too! I've made a headband and a hat so far today. I'm going to start some more after we go get shakes from marble slab!! Peanut butter with twix crushed up inside. DELISH! I am so loving life right now.

I hope y'all are having a great week as well.

p.s. To all of my pen pals...I am writing letters on Thursday. I lost my letters during the move but I've found them and I'm so sorry!!

this is why i love summer...

Because summer loves me more than those other seasons. It brings me so many good presents like no school (hopefully) and good friends, and vacations, and waaaay more crafty time. PLUS laying in the sun on the lake is like my own personal heaven.

Okay, I'm back. And if I wasn't afraid that someone might possibly read this blog I would tell you a hilariously awkward tale that just happened to me as I was sitting down to write this...but I digress. It has been a pretty awesome week so far. I have just been feeling weird about things and neglected to blog. sorry! I've snapped out of it and I'm back on track don't fret.

Tonight we're having an HL meeting that I'm pretty excited about. We have big plans for our future and it's all so exciting. I've also been job hunting. It's so hard to find a job in a college town. But I've managed to get applications to two of the stores I frequent most often: Hobby Lobby and Hancock Fabrics. haha can you imagine? I might spend my whole paycheck in either one of those stores lol.

My friend steph is in town from Baton Rouge!!!

I'm so happy about this, I can't even describe it to you. I pretty much love her to pieces and just having her back in the neighborhood is pure happiness for me :-). She's having a crawfish boil saturday and Josh and I are soooo there!

I lllllove crawfish even though they're totally messy to eat and I still have fake nails on from Lauren's wedding. We're gonna have to work on getting them off because crawfish is waaaay more important.

I hope you all have fantastic plans for this weekend too!

life is good.

Well, let me just say Renegade was awesome, and totally worth the drive. I got some really cool art for my house :-) and expanded my button collection quite a bit! We got some great ideas for new products and booth ideas for the upcoming season. It was great to get out of town with Mandy for a bit and do crafty/girly things!
I'll post some pics later (probably tomorrow) I promise.

I'm officially moved in here! YAY :-) I still have to get things put away. My bed is completely covered with stuff so that's my project for today. Hopefully I can knock that out semi quickly because I also have to get ready for tonight. I have a hot date ;-). 2 years ago today Josh and I started dating!
lol that was the night before our first official date.
Maybe I'm just young and naive but two years is a long time to me. They've definitely been my favorite 2 years so far.
i love him.

I hope you're all having a great week so far!

Hello Austin, TX

We have had the most amazing road trip today :-) Yesterday I bought lots and lots of fallish colored yarn so we can make some cool inventory for our fall update !

we stopped at 2 Ross stores and the best Pancho's everrrr!

Excuse the blurry phone pic...but seriously, I've never been in such a nice Pancho's!

ANND we found a massive ikea store that we spent only about 2 hours in and we could have stayed there all night.

I think it's a great start to our weekend. Tomorrow is going to be even better!! Mandy is so excited (me too) because we're probably going to meet Elsie tomorrow at Renegade. I am so looking forward to seeing all of the amazing handmade goodness here!

Hope you have an awesome weekend too!

mission almost accomplished

Just stopping by for a sec while I fold some laundry...today has been very productive for me. And that makes me happy :-)

I have groceries...my kitchen cabinets are semi organized. My room is a mess...but an organized mess. I just need a desk to put my odds and ends in. I'm pretty excited!! We are so close to moving in!

Happy thoughts: I'm going to write lots of pen pal letters tomorrow! :-)

Random note...don't you think this tree is fantastic?

UCA has a pretty campus.

Hello Real World, I'm back...

WOW...it has been a crazy week. Lauren's wedding was beautiful. Everything went so smoothly...UNTIL it was time for pictures. The photographer that they paid an insane amount of money to take beautiful pictures on her wedding day...didn't show up. I'm not saying he was late...I'm saying he wasn't there at all. As it turns out, he had her wedding booked for the 15 instead of the 8th. Fortunately, one of the ladies that delivered the flowers was a photographer and we had a professional grade camera on hand. So hopefully, there will be some beautiful pictures.

My dad and I are at the house right now. I'm almost finished painting my room, and he's almost finished patching my bathroom wall. (long story...) We're getting a lot done. Hopefully by the end of the day I'll have a freshly painted room complete with furniture. AND all my belongings put away. OOOH and groceries in the fridge lol. I'll prolly actually start living here next week.

I'm so excited because Friday, Mandy and I are going to Austin TX for Renegade!!! I can't wait. We're going to have so much funnnnn! I'm going to buy yarn this week so we can crochet on the way there. Lucky for us, her hubby is going to be our chauffeur :-).

I hope everyone is having a fun week. I'm going to be writing lots of pen pal letters this week. I can finally sit down and write.

Love :-)

I hate it but I love it.

My presentation was swell yesterday! Everyone really enjoyed it. I'm so relieved to be done with this semester. I honestly think it has been the roughest toughest semester yet and I'm not going to miss it one bit. I mean I was really happy yesterday that it was my last day...but at the same time yesterday was the worst day I've had in a long while. I think if it hadn't been my last day...I wouldn't have handled it as well as I did. I don't have time to relax just yet though. Lauren's wedding is tomorrow. CRAZYYYY times. I'll be back someday in the near future with pics from the wedding :-)

Preview

It's 5:45am and I'm taking a break from studying Chemistry. I don't think I need to explain how sad it is that (1) I'm awake at 5:45am and (2) I've been awake long enough to take a break at 5:45...I went to bed at about 12:30am and woke up at 4:15am...
Aside from my Chemistry final I also have to finish a paper, turn in a final, and make a presentation today. I must say...if this wasn't the last day of school for me, I would not be a happy camper. BUT since I'm doing all of this for my last day this semester...I think I can put up with it. Honestly, if I've learned anything in college it's how far I can make my body go on the least amount of sleep and still be productive. haha.

My presentation today is going to be so cool. I'm excited about it. (Remember I mentioned this research paper earlier...I'm doing an analysis of women in advertisements from 1950-1980.) I wanna share some of the advertisements with you and see if you think they're as ridiculous as I do...

A 1950's ad for shaving cream...seriously??

In the 1960's everything was sexy.
Midol was sexy...
Oh p.s. by "Be a Swinger!" they're obviously talking about girls swinging golf clubs...

Cigarette ads in the 60's were just fantastic...
Seriously, you should view this one full size...you're not dreaming...that really says "It's not how long you make it... it's how you make it long."

The 70's had some that just made me angry...
What a drag for men in the 70's to have to choose just one woman..."It's nice to have a choice" give me a break...

*Fun fact: I didn't have enough money to make copies in the library of all 45 pages, so I took a camera to the library and photographed all the pages...I don't think that's against the rules...but I did it either way lol.

Yea...sleep deprived, naturally sarcastic personality, and semi-passionate about my topic...I think this presentation is going to be fun.

I hope you're all having a great week :-).

What a day...

Wow...I don't know if I should be proud of myself or kicking myself. I have a massive to-do list. I have crossed off 3 things...maybe 3 1/2 if I'm feeling generous. I've been moving in to my house but I didn't get to put the last coat of paint on my walls yet so my dresser is in my living room. Which means I can't put clothes in it yet.
I also got the carpet from our dorm room in here. Everything is such a mess because I can't put it away yet and I'm also trying to study for a final and a presentation tomorrow.
I had to sweep AND wet swiffer the floor twice because we had the plumber in today and it was messy to say the least. BUT the shower doesn't leak anymore.

Okay, I'm off to practice my presentation and study for chemistry. Only one more day and I can start to get things in order finally. What a relief that will be...

Love you!

My life is awesome

Here are a couple pics of my room. I'm moving my furniture in today....actually I'm moving myself in today! EXCITING!!

Before/After

Mandy helped me paint the whole thing. She's like the best roomie ever.

AHHH, I can't wait to move in and get pictures on the walls. I'm going to have a summer wall with beachy/summery pictures on it. You should check them out over at Hello Ladies, I posted them over there this morning :-).

Pray for me! I have a semi lengthy to-do list today and I don't know if there are enough hours in the day to finish it. Can I just tell you how excited I am. I am making huge life steps right now. (Yes, I just made up "life steps" don't judge me) Tomorrow I'll be finished with my Sophomore year of college, I'll be permanently living in my new house, and my best friend in the world is getting married on Saturday. Life is good. It would be better if I had a job... but I won't even get into that. I won't let that get me down...I'll find one. :-) Happy Wednesday to everyone. I hope you're having a fantastic week so far.

So Much to say...

I have finally found my microSD card and now I can show you these pictures. So, get ready because I have lots to show you :-). Seriously, you should like settle in with a cup of tea and make yourself comfortable.

First, I'll show you a few pics from our film shoot. We shot for two days at the beginning of April and it was so much fun. Everyone did an awesome job and we all fit together really well. I seriously hope that we can work together next year too!
We had a scene with clothes being thrown into a washer...but we couldn't get that HUGE camera in the washer. This is called improv. lol

Didn't Cat look so adorable in her polka dotted dress??!

Over half of the process is probably sitting around waiting to get set up.

This was our ghetto dolly. lol

We set up with a real track and dolly in a parking lot.

Hauling the track to the parking lot wasn't as easy as we thought it would be. It was tucked under the dashboard of Kyla's car and sticking out the back hatch.

Okay, here are some pictures from my fabulous trip to Shreveport with Lauren.
This was the cutest house everrrr! I instantly fell in love with it. If you click on the picture and look closer you can see she has a tea set on that table.

And this is Micah...we are bff now.

Isn't he the cutest thing?!?

Two weekends ago I went to the red vs. white game with Josh and some of our friends. The Josh & Kevin dynamic...well it was interesting to say the least.

We sat on the 5 yard line it was pretty cool.

Okay, here are some miscellaneous pics that are just interesting.
I found out that my phone takes mosaic pictures while I was "helping" Josh paint his 4-wheeler.

I just sat there and talked to him and made suggestions. He's very particular so I didn't really want to get too involved in the process.
FACT: Josh painted his 4-wheeler to match the camo that his character wears in Call of Duty.
FACT: I'm dating a nerd.

I saw these turquoise pans and I am smitten.

This last picture is kinda sad...we kept our tree up all year and this was how we packaged it to take it to the house and put it in the closet. lol

So there are all the things I've been wanting to show you :-).

I got some bad news yesterday. The people at WHRC, who led me to believe I had a job with them emailed me yesterday and basically said "just kidding" in formal words. I'm kind of upset at the way things were handled but I won't get into it. I'm just going to take some summer classes and look for a job here in Conway. I'll be okay. This is just the number one reason I hope to be self employed one day. My job won't depend on politics. Also, Josh's brother's house blew up a couple days ago and THANK GOD none of the family was home, but they've lost everything. Josh is headed down there right now to lend some moral support. Keep them in your thoughts. It's hard when you have three kids and you lose everything.

Happy thoughts: I'm headed to my house to wait for the cable guy :-) we're getting cable and internet today! AND Lauren's getting married in just 4 days. YIKES!! It's so close.

I love y'all, thanks for being my friends! I'm writing some pen pal letters today and I'm excited for new pen pals!

Bachelorette Party (and other happy thoughts)

Oh I am exhausted...Mandy and I spent about 6 1/2 hours painting and then the rest of the day decorating and getting ready for the bachelorette party. We didn't even get to start painting my room...but we are 1 last coat away from finishing her room. We ran out of paint today with only 1 coat left. How lame is that? I'm pretty excited though because we should get to start on my room Tuesday while we're waiting for the cable guy :-).

I am working on editing the bachelorette pictures. BUT here is a little preview:

Mandy and I decorated this cake. Actually, Lauren and Caitlin helped too. So it was truly a team effort :-). I am pretty happy about how it turned out. It tasted delicious too!

This was Lauren's initial reaction to the present I bought her...I haven't decided if it's appropriate or not for me to tell you what it was...but you should be able to tell from her reaction that it was pretty awesome...or embarrassing...or both.

I'll post the party in pictures after I get them edited. I hope you all had an awesome Friday night!

smooches!
